Buyer Beware: This $130,000 1970 Hemi Plymouth Superbird Is A Giant Orange Collection Of Problems

This is an interesting video. Hoovies Garage is a huge YouTube Channel and it’s a good channel as well. My sons like watching it and the dude who founded it and runs it seems to be a salt of the Earth guy who just so happens to make a boatload of money and love cars. As such the dude always has awesome stuff in his garage and his collection is pretty radical. Recently he threw down $130,000 for a real 1970 hemi Plymouth Superbird and while it sure looked awesome on Bring A Trailer, once he got it the thing turned out to be kind of a mess. The seller failed to disclose any and all issues the car has and once it was received they were obvious.

Now, this guy is not whining and complaining about it. In fact, he still loves the car but needs to get the stuff sorted. One of the admirable things about the dude is he doesn’t play the victim and often scoops up “cheap” versions of expensive cars to solve their issues and bring them back to their former glory.

This thing is a good example of the fact that in the automotive world, all that glitters is not gold. It will be at some point but that’s going to take some time, some more money, and some good old fashioned mechanic’n.

Press play to see this video on the litany of issues found with this Superbird –
